Why we started
Yeoncheon brings together the Imjin and Hantangang rivers, volcanic landscapes, borderland ecology, long human history, and agricultural resources including yulmu.
The Lab connects these resources through evidence-based guides, field records, AI-assisted multilingual local content, and small product or content experiments that can return practical value to the region.
Five working principles
- Put local value first and avoid using Yeoncheon only as a marketing label.
- Separate official records, published research, project hypotheses, and future plans.
- Do not exaggerate health effects, certifications, sponsorships, or partnerships.
- Record permissions and credits for images, interviews, maps, logos, and ideas.
- Publish what has been verified, what remains unknown, and when each record was reviewed.
Independent operation
Yeoncheon Yulmu Lab is not an official office of Yeoncheon County or UNESCO. Institutional names and designation facts are linked to their original sources, and partnership status is shown only after a formal agreement.
Accessibility
The Lab uses readable type, clear contrast, keyboard navigation, and meaningful heading structures. Field photographs will include alternative text, while videos will be accompanied by captions and text summaries.
